And across the line

Standing at the side of the road, I watched the Cologne Marathon. The sight of the runners' feet as they passed me by proved to be quite fascinating. The way the shoes pounded against the pavement, the patterns of the laces, the sweat that had accumulated on their skin – it all made for an intriguing study of the human form in motion. It was a reminder of the incredible power and resilience of the human body. October 2011.
